medesign's Protective Coatings offer ideal protection for patient and probe during a rectal ultrasound examination.

The Protective Coating is slipped over the ultrasonic probe and lubricated with e. g. Gyn-Lys or Rekto-Lys. Smooth slippage and perfect coupling of the ultrasonic probe allow high-quality sonograms. Furthermore, cleaning the probe after every examination becomes unnecessary - which saves precious time.

medesign's Protective Coatings for sonography offer perfect physical properties at good value for a great price. They possess a tensile strength and elasticity of more than 650 % at a thickness of only 0.06 mm. medesign's Protective Coatings are made from natural rubber, individually inspected for leaks and aseptically packaged. This ensures the highest possible protection against infection for physician and patient.

medesign's Protective Coatings are also available in Lastokran - a latex-free material, which allows patients with latex allergies to have ultrasounds as well.

Please do not use ultrasound gel as this can lead to itching and burning after the examination and does not offer good lubrication.

Use medesign's Rekto-Lys to make examinations as pleasant as possible for your patients.
