Moxaroll (Moxacigar)

The effectivity of traditional Chinese medicine has been proven. Alongside acupuncture, moxa therapy is gaining importance. Pain can be eased directly by partial deep relaxation and activation of the body's self-healing powers, without side-effects.

Moxa therapy (using Chinese mugwort) applies warmth to an acupuncture point. Cones made from moxa are burnt and then placed on the relevant points thus warming the desired regions of the body.

Application: After lighting the Moxa Roll, carefully warm the area of the respective acupuncture point using your hand or the holder. Increase the distance between the skin and the burning tip if the area gets too hot. Moxa therapy is most efficient if the Moxa Cigar burns steadily. Regularly brush off the ash that forms on the end of the Moxa Roll. If the area begins to feel uncomfortable, move away from the acupunture point. After treatment the Moxa Roll is extinguished with sand, water or the Moxa Extinguisher. Always have a fire-proof container available as a precaution. Standard treatment takes about 20 - 30 minutes. After treatment the patient should rest and the treated areas should be kept warm. Moxa Rolls may only be used by people with a medical education who are sure of the proper and effective use of this treatment and can guarantee such. Please follow instructions for use!
