An essential prerequisite for exact cytological identification is the faultless fixation of cells.medesign Cyto Spray Fixative is an alcoholic fixative spray that allows quick and precise fixation of cytological specimens. The pump spray mechanism of the Cyto Spray ensures an even distribution of the fixative on the glass slide. After spraying medesign’s Cyto Spray Fixative the alcohol evaporates and the remaining polyglycol film protects the specimen from damage and drying out.
For ideal results, fixation of cells should take place directly after collection when still moist. Thereby shrinkage or desiccation as well as structural mutation is avoided.
